Mike Smith Builders LLC is owned and operated by Mike Smith who is a native resident of Watauga County. Mike is a Licensed General Contractor for both commercial and residential projects.
The company was established in 2001 to construct commercial and custom homes in the surrounding areas of Watauga County. Having lived in this area and working in the construction field since 1984 and being a superintendent for many projects in the area the opportunity presented itself to start Mike Smith Builders LLC in 2001.
Mike’s great grandfather Roe Mast was a carpenter and as a young man, Mike was taught the skills and work ethic he had. Mike credits his love for building to his great grandfather. Mike has built several custom homes in the surrounding area. His work and homes have been featured in High Country Home magazine and Mountain Homes Southern Style. His company’s main goal is to build custom homes that he feels will display the craftsmanship that his company is proud to stand behind. Mike has collectively put together a team of workmen some of whom have worked with his company since it began and understand the kind of home Mike wants to build for his clients. The pride that you feel when a project is completed and you and your clients have built a lasting friendship where they continue to call on you for additional services and make referrals to their friends is worth all the labor of love put into every project. I want to walk away after a job is completed knowing that I gave one hundred and ten percent to my clients and their project.
